This was part of a bunch of remixes I did as a favour to a Swedish A&R guy who had offered me a record contract. The contract didn’t work out for a number of reasons but I did get to hang out in Stockholm for a few nights and I have good memories. I can’t say I loved the original track but something like this is a gift to work with because it’s so fun and no one is going to get too upset if you speed things up or slow them down (in some cases, the artist or the management can take things a bit too seriously in my view). Some remixes are like pulling teeth, others can be hard work or unmemorable - regardless of how the finished product turns out. I just remember this as being really fun to do. Given that the original was so cheesy, I felt like I really had a free hand hence all the fun little effects that keep firing everywhere.
